The Usa, Obama’s challenge to Trump: stop the attacks on democracy

July 30, 2020L’ex-us president Barack Obama has accused the current occupant of the White House Donald Trump of “attacks on democracy”. In a speech delivered at the funeral ceremony of John Lewis, an icon of civil rights, Obama has cited the tensions underway in the United States.

“While we are here there is still people that launches tear gas against protesters, and doing all he can to deny people their right to vote,” he declared without a mention of Trump. “I know that this ceremony is to celebrate the memory of John Lewis, and some might say that we should not dwell on certain aspects, but John has spent his life to fight the attacks on democracy in America, just like those that we see circulate in this period,” he added.
